Howard Parker Visit to Ken Salter
By Howie Parker (RhAF)
Thought this might be of some interest to your members. I was recently in the UK and took a trip
over to Belfast to meet up with Ken Salter. I hadn't seen Ken since
1978 so it was quite an emotional reunion. As you may recall Ken had
a leg amputated and then while recovering fell over and broke his
hip. He went through all sorts of hell, but true to form, Ken has
come out of it remarkable well and was able, along with his daughter
Jenny to show me some of the sights around Belfast, and what a
surprise, a beautiful place and great people.
End.
ORAFs Comments: PB whispered in my ear that today Ken would be celebrating his 82nd birthday!
Happy Birthday Uncle Ken, enjoy your special day.

A couple of whiskies and some great
memories made for a great visit. If anyone is ever around the UK, a
quick trip to Belfast to met up with Ken will always be welcomed, he
misses his friends from the old days.
End.
