Kelowna Rhodesian Dinner
By Denise Taylor
Herewith the photo of the Rhodesian
evening we enjoyed in Kelowna, BC, Canada.
This month Shumba (RhAF) and I were delighted to have the company of Wally Barton (PRAW) and Brenda Jacobs ( nee Tapson) for dinner. Wally is ex Centenary and Concession and Brenda is ex Inyanga/Rusape and Umtali Girls High School. Many names of fellow friends and family were in many cases found to be known to all. Old towns and events were rediscovered and much laughter enjoyed by all of us.
Its amazing how small this world is - word has it that Brenda has an old school friend just around from where she lives !
Wally is still raising a few sheep and looking really well. In typical Rhodie fashion a small package was swapped and lo and behold - we each gave each other some homegrown garlic !!!
Many Thanks to Wally for driving all the way and also to Brenda for being able to come as well."
End
Thanks to Denise for sharing this photograph and memories with us all.
